12 Artscience and Sonology students from the Royal Acdemy of Art and Conservatoire in The Hague presented their findings of an intense 4-day field research at Het Lage Noorden guided by Cocky Eek. The students were in direct contact with the Dark Skies of The Wadden Sea – an exposed edge of the Netherlands where earth meets the ocean, and where the sky, undiluted by the urban lightscape, reveals itself in striking depth. Being the largest tidal plane system on our planet, it is a place of intense energy and quiet revelation, governed by celestial cycles and powerful winds that sweep across the endlessly flat horizon.
